New Civil Code
A distinctive element, which offers us individuality on the Romanian legal market, is the participation of the lawyers of SCA Stoica & Asociatii, both as well known practitioners, and as teachers within the Law Faculty of the Bucharest University, in the important projects of reforming the Romanian legal system, as is the new Civil Code, which entered into force on October 1, 2011, and the Law no. 71/2011 for the application of the new Civil Code.
University professor Valeriu Stoica, Ph.D., Founding Partner of STOICA & Asociaţii, Associate Professor Marieta Avram, Ph.D., Senior Partner of STOICA & Asociaţii, were consultants in the commissions set up along the Ministry of Justice for drafting these important and complex laws.
In the context of the entering into force of the Civil Code and of the direct impact on the specific activity of its clients, STOICA & Asociaţii offered a diversified area of legal services consisting of: drafting legal analysis and opinions, review of the contractual documents, to insure their concordance with the new provisions of the Civil Code, participation in sessions of training for the legal and commercial personnel of certain important companies.
