STOICA & Asociaţii supports Magna Carta scholarship granted by „The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple”, London
With the occasion of celebrating 800 years from the signing of the Magna
Carta Libertatum, a document representing the foundation of the rule of
law in common-law, "The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple", London
in cooperation with the Embassy of the United Kingdom and the Faculty
of Law, University of Bucharest organized the conference "The Rule of
Law and Magna Carta” on Monday, October 19, at the Central University
Library.

STOICA & Asociații successfully closes up the history of Bancorex, in favour of BCR
The team of
lawyers from STOICA & Asociaţii, consisting of Valeriu Stoica, Founding
Partner, Marieta Avram, Senior Partner, and Adina Popescu, Associate,
represented the Romanian Commercial Bank in the court case no. 5736/3/2012,
definitely solved by the Bucharest Appeal Court, through which the court
rejected the claims of the former President of Bancorex, Răzvan Liviu Temeșan.
These claims consist in the payment of salary rights and moral damages
amounting to approx. 5 million Euros and the acknowledgment of the employee’s
quality and work readmission.

Lawyers from STOICA & Asociaţii held a workshop in the project "Legal Explorations: International Arbitration"
The project "Legal Explorations:
International Arbitration" – first edition is organised by ELSA București
between 27 March - 26 April and is meant for the law students, year III and IV
and for the students enrolled in the international arbitration master
programme. The students have the opportunity to have contact with this area of
practice, to gain information from legal experts and, finally, to demonstrate
that they have sufficient knowledge in order to use it in the preparation of a
moot court.

STOICA & Asociatii supports the Law Faculty’s team in an international arbitration contest
The team
composed out of four students from the Law Faculty, Bucharest University will
participate in the international arbitration contest, Frankfurt Investment
Arbitration Moot Court 2015, which shall take place in Frankfurt, Germany, in
March 2015.
Following the already established tradition of
supporting the academic activities, STOICA & Asociatii gives a strong
shoulder to the team and wishes it a lot of luck in its endeavours!
