Presently, Marieta Avram is assistant professor, Ph.D.
at the Law Faculty of the Bucharest University, within the Civil Law department
and Vice-dean of same faculty.
She published numerous legal articles and works.
Among the published books are:
- „Family legislation” (edition in collaboration with Flavius Antonius
Baias, Editura ALL, Bucureşti ; 1st edition – 1994, 2nd
edition – 1995, 3rd edition – 2001);
- „Filiation. National and international adoption” (All Beck, 2001);
- „ Legislative guide for nongovernmental organisations from Romania”, in collaboration
with M. Nicolae, H. Dumitru, B. Dumitrache, work published under aegis of APADOR-CH,
Bucharest, 2002;
- „Bulletin of jurisprudence 1990-2003. From the Supreme Court of Justice
to the Supreme Court of Justice and Cassation”, book and CD in collaboration with
Smaranda
Angheni, Rozalia Ana Lazăr and Iosif Ionescu (All Beck, 2003);
- „International private law. Case law studies”, in collaboration with R.
Bobei (All Beck, 2004);
- „The unilateral act in private law” (Hamangiu, 2006), which was granted
the award "Paul C. Vlachide" of the Union of Jurists
from Romania (2006);
- "Marital property regimes", in collaboration with C. Nicolescu
(Hamangiu, 2010) which received the award "Traian
Ionașcu" for the best work or legal study of the year with regard to
private law matters, awarded by the “Romanian Private Law Studies” in
cooperation with the National Union of Enforcement Officers from Romania (2011);
- "Civil Law. Family" (Hamangiu, 2013).
Marieta Avram was Chief Editor and Deputy Editor of the legal
magazine "Curierul judiciar" (2002-2006). For the contribution to the legislation reform, Marieta Avram received the decoration "Order of the Star
of Romania" officer rank, awarded by Decree of the President of Romania
(2000).
