On 5 November 2013, STOICA & Asociaţii organized a reception for its guests, hosted in the Ballroom „Le Diplomat” of Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel, to celebrate 18 years since its establishment. More than 200 guests - clients, fellow-lawyers, professors, journalists, diplomats and cultural personalities - attended this anniversary event.

During the conference “Difficult civil law issues” organized in Bucharest, on  October, 18-19, by Juridice.ro in partnership with Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the specialists in this field – lawyers, judges – approached one of the most hot topics regarding the legal difficulties and challenges .of the new Civil Code.

Valeriu Stoica, Founding Partner STOICA & Asociații, tackled in his presentation the following topic: “The meaning of early termination in the new Civil Code” and Dan Rareş Răducanu approached various difficult civil law issues, such as: error regarding a legal provision, deceit, state of need vs. state of necessity and the object of obligation.

Collection market involves complex mechanisms of debt collection that could be attained either by agreement or judicially. If, in the first case, negotiating skills, the art of detecting the debtors’ psychology and to motivate them in connection with voluntary payment play an important role, the repossession ordered by the court implies the commencing of some procedures (before the court, enforcement, insolvency)  in which the presence of some specialized actors is highly necessary (lawyers, insolvency practitioners, bailiffs).
